The Park cars added some more miles in this travelling weekend as they sped out to Snodland to take on Lloyds. Once again batting first, Dave Hearn and Kenny Robotham got us off to a good start against a very tidy opening attack, putting on 31 for the first wicket. Kenny bowled by Carr for a good 18 just when he was looking to get after the bowling. Tim Gannon was up at no.3 and he and Hearnie added 92 for the second wicket, both players hiting some good boundarys along the way. Gannon was out for 39 when he hoisted Wallace to mid on and was caught, but Park were well set for a big total by now on 123 for 2. Hearnie duly completed a superb 50 but was then caught out going for another big hit, and finished with 57 (Park 136 for 3). Sean Parker and Darran Fowdy joined the party at nos.4 & 5 respectively and Park looke like they might lose the momentum when Sean was bowled by Wallace for 4 (Park now 136 for 4), but Skipper Darran was joined by Dave Brupbacher and these two carried on where Hearnie had left off. Bru was unlucky to get a very high bounce that took his edge when he was well set 16 (169 for 5), but Daz was hitting well at the other end. Craigy Boy partridge continued his bad luck when he came out and was bowled off his pads for a duck (173 for 6). Alan Russell came out to keep the skip company, and Darran went for the big shots hitting a couple of big sixes in a row, followed by a couple of fours to finish on 48 not out (jug avoidance surely ref ?). Alan chipped away to finish on 3 not out with Park totalling 212 for 6.
Paul Moss and Dave Partridge opened the bowling for the Park, and Hobsen was looking for the big shots right from the off. Davey Boy, clean bowled Walker for 4 in the 16th over (Lloyds 39 for 1), but the danger was at the other end. Paul Thompson and Craig Partridge came on to try their luck next and it was Thommo who did the trick, with Hobsen smashing the ball out to deep mid wicket where Gannon took a good catch right on the fence (45 for 2). It was at this point that Lloyds gave up any idea of winning the game, and when Craig had Briggs caught behind by keeper Bru it was pretty much over as a contest (52 for 3). Alan Russell and Sean Parker tried their hand next and Sean managed to bowl Green for 11 (79 for 4), but the game dragged on inexorably towards a draw, with Fowdy, hearnie and Gannon all having an over to try and make something happen. In the last over of the game Wilson was finally run out by a throw from Hearnie, and Lloyds finished on 117 for 5 to draw the game.

A good all round team performance saw Propsect Park dominate this match throughout but they could not force the win. The batsmen dominated with Hearn, Gannon and Fowdy all making good runs but Hearnie takes the award with yet another top 50.
