Once Craig Partrdige had made a breakthrough, bowling skipper Lloyd in the first over, wickets fell regularly, with Dave Partridge dispatching Attewelll caught and bowled at the other end. Debutant Jason Reid got off to a flyer, with Lockett M playing on to put PWT on 23 for 3. After the drinks break and Jason did it again clean bowling Weirs, and when Kenny popped up with his annual catch to dismiss Lockett R off the bowling of Christian O'Mahoney, PWT were struggling with 55 for 5. Christian got the prize wicket of Ramasinghe who flayed one into deep mid-wicket where Roger Griffiths took an extraordinary Ewin type catch. With Craig returning for a quick burst and having Kernahan caught by Reid, the oppo were 74 for 7 and in trouble. With Irish bowling duo Gannon and Shannon in tandem, PWT managed to stop the rot and get a partnership going. Christian came back on to sort that out and clean bowled Barnes. When Dave 'I've got a lucky coin' Fletcher came on to bowl he needless to say wrapped things up in an over, having Humphries caught by Craig Partridge and Donner caught by Dave Partridge. Petts Wood Tudor 140 All Out off 38 overs.

Roger Griffiths and Dave Fletcher opened the batting for Park and got us off to a great start putting on 88 before Roger was caught for a superb, yet jug avoiding 43. Fletch was to follow soon after for a well made 25 and Park were 92 for 2. From this seemingly impregnable position Park then collapsed in a manner not seen since Franny Lee could reach the penalty area having tripped on a blade of grass in the centre circle. Dave Robotham, bowled for 4, Park 96 for 3. Dave Partridge caught first ball, Park 96 for 4. Kenny Robotham caught for 9, Park 103 for 5. Sean Pritchard, bowled for 0, Park 109 for 6. Craig Partridge bowled for 7, Park 109 for 7 and still 34 runs short. With a dismayed skipper Gannon joining Christian O'Mahoney at the crease, the repair was under way and 29 were added before Christian was surprisingly bowled for 17. Park 138 for 8. Jason Reid came out in an unenviable position for his first bat for the club, but soon tucked the ball away for four and the pressure was off and one run later he and Gannon strode off with the victory secure. Reid finishing on 4 not out and Gannon unbeaten on 13. Park scraping victory, finishing on 143 for 8 off 34.1 overs.
Whilst the Prospect Park collapse in the face of victory will haunt Skipper Gannon for some time to come, there were some good displays to mention. An outstanding debut from Jason Reid with two wickets, a catch and a boundary to his name along with some excellent fielding. A good all round performance from Christian O'Mahoney, bowling well and getting three crucial wickets and scoring priceless runs at the end. Dave Fletcher scored valuable runs up front and popped up with an almost predictable two wicket burst. But Roger Griffiths takes the MOM for a superb 43 runs and brilliant catch.
