Dave Hearn and Bob Harbert opened the batting for Park on a juicy track against excellent Dartfordians bowling and did brilliantly to put on a 55 partnership before Hearnie was bowled for 25. Unfortunately Bob was to be caught in the slips with the score unmoved, to depart for 12 hard earned runs. Kenny and Dave Robotham were in at 3 and 4 respectively but Dave was soon to go, bowled for a duck, Park 58 for 3. Steve Neville was in next and was immediately trapped LBW for no score to leave Park struggling on 58 for 4. When Skipper Gannon was bowled for 2 with the score on 62, Park were in big trouble with Dave Cullern seemingly unplayable. Carl Chamberlain came in and hit a quick 8 to get some momentum going before being bowled with a jaffa from Cullern once again. Park 70 for 6. Dave Brupbacher came in next and restored some sanity to proceedings with Kenny who had been playing very sensibly at the other end. Just as he was looking set, Bru was bowled for 8 and Park were 87 for 7. Dave Fletcher was bowled for 1 at the other end but Kenny had added some runs to take Park to 99 for 8. When Dave Partridge departed for a duck and Bill Partridge for 1, Park had scrambled to 112 all out with Kenny unbeaten with an excellent 26.
Dartfordians got off to a flying start and had 34 on the board before Bill Partridge bowled K Cullern. This started a great spell by Partridge senior that saw 4 more wickets fall, Yeullet LBW, Excell bowled, Van Der Merle bowled and Fentiman bowled first ball reducing the home side to 55 for 5. Just as Park hopes were rising for an improbable win, Dartfordians consolidated and added 39 before Bill bowled B. Perryman. With the score still on 94 Bill trapped Appleton LBW but this was to be Parks last success as Dartfordians ran out winners at 116 for 7.

With only Dave Hearn, Bob Harbert and particularly Kenny Robotham providing any resistance in the batting line up it was down to a bowler to win the MOM, and up steps Bill Partridge with astonishing figures of 7 wickets for 31 runs to walk away with todays award.
