Park Cruise to Victory

vs Statics (H - Friendly) - Saturday 6th September

Dave Robotham and Dave Fletcher opened the show against a late arriving Statics in a game reduced to 35 overs per side. Dave Robo struck early having Jaeger caught in typical fashion by Skipper Ewin at mid on, and Robinson clean bowled. Rikin Patel returned to form to have Woods caught behind by Dave Brupbacher, but neither Fletcher, Flood or Chamberlain could make further breakthroughs. Bill Partridge came on to bowl the top scoring Symes, and Craig Partridge joined in to dismiss PD caught & bowled and Worsley caught behind. Dave Robotham came back into the attack to clean bowl Mayur, and then had Jay caught behind once again by Bru. Statics managing 130 for 8 in their alloted overs.

Kenny Robotham and Craig Partridge opened the batting, and the runs were soon flowing. Kenny scored a quickfire 27 before being bowled by PD, with the score on 78. Jim Flood came out at no.3 to join the freescoring Craigus who breezed past his 50. No further wickets fell as Jim and Craig knocked the runs off with ease. Jim finishing with 17 not out and Craig unbeaten on an excellent 75 as Park ran out easy winners on 132 for 1 in only 21 overs.

Man Of The Match

An excellent bowling display from Dave Robotham put him in the hunt for todays MOM, but with a cracking 75 not out opening the batting and two wickets from 4 overs, Craig Partridge nicks the award.
