Carl Chamberlain and Dave Fletcher opened the Park bowling, both toiling hard with no reward save the run out of Derek with the score on 25. Terry Shannon and Skip Fowdy came on to try their luck and El Tel bowled opener Dun to put the oppo on 66 for 2. An inspired bowling change by the skip saw Christian O'Mahoney into the attack. Christian then had Ovebury caught by the skip (89 for 3), Da LBW (99 for 4), Palumbo caught by Steve Neville (108 for 5) and Mihalop caught behind by Bru (148 for 6). All of a sudden the Old Elthamians victory that had been on the cards since the start of the innings was now in doubt. With 10 runs needed from the final over Smith hit the skip for a six out of nowhere and Park were up against it again. Darran held his nerve and bowled Smith next ball (158 for 7). 4 runs were required off the final ball but the Skip held them to a single to inspire a great win for Park.
